Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 victories have been won on hard surfaces
A revitalized Medvedev secured his maiden championship for nearly 30 months with a win over Corentin Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The athlete, a former world number one, has had a challenging year, managing just one match at the Grand Slams and undergoing a setback at the US Open.
His varied form on the professional circuit - and issues with his service game in especial - resulted in him exiting of the elite rankings and eventually splitting with long-term trainer Gilles Cervara.
Currently training with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently improved in the recent weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over opponent Moutet.
This represents his first title after the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hardcourt since spring of that year.
Success also signifies he has won 21 victories at 21 various competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a tournament with my both daughters at once, so to win a title is really nice," commented world number 14 Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my younger daughter her name, because the maiden victory I achieved when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had failed in his previous six championship matches, including in Halle previously this season.
His retrieving approach and recurring outbursts on the playing surface had caused observers to wonder if his skill to compete at the top level was concluded.
But the 29-year-old has made changes in the last few weeks, striving to approach the net and play positively, backed up by an improved service.
Medvedev came back from a deficit in the initial set against the difficult Moutet, winning 4 of the final five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The pair exchanged service breaks in the second set before the challenger, attempting for his first professional championship, took control to create a third set.
Moutet rescued 4 early-game opportunities in a close final set before the champion secured a break to that score to secure the win.
Fittingly, Medvedev clinched victory with a rally at the front of the court, with the Frenchman incapable to control a return after a lengthy match.
