The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.
Former two-time world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters met for the customary face-off, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really proceeding.
